As a Senior Project Manager at Autodesk, you will lead and manage multiple medium and large consulting projects, primarily for strategic customers implementing Autodesk software technologies. Additionally, you will work with clients to increase adoption and customer success. You will also be responsible for communication among account and project team members, translating objectives into goals. You'll develop strong client relationships and manage any challenging demands across organizational lines. The role involves a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.

In this Senior Project Manager role, you will provide project leadership, direction, management, and communication throughout the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for the overall success of the project and the quality of services. You will manage multiple medium and large consulting projects at a time, primarily for strategic customers implementing Autodesk software technologies. In some cases, you may be responsible for management of a program of several related projects. You will facilitate meetings with customer representatives and business leaders to position and deliver compelling consulting solutions that will increase adoption and customer success.
 

Responsibilities

  • Project manage transformation projects for enterprise customers

  • Lead and manage internal and external team members to meet project objectives

  • Maintain open communication amongst account team and project team members

  • Lead project review meetings

  • Translate project objectives and vision into clear goals for the team

  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and project control tools utilizing standard PM and PSA software

  • Comply with internal reporting standards and practices. Perform project plan analysis and evaluating risk and developing risk mitigation plans

  • Support sales and business development by writing and/or reviewing proposals, writing scopes of work, and developing delivery estimates and resource requirements for solutions

  • Develop strong client and stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication channels, handle challenging demands across organizational lines, and resolve conflicts


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field

  • PMP / PMI qualified or equivalent 

  • IT Project Management (6+ years) experience with leading and delivering complex software implementation projects to customers for acceptance

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team to achieve project objectives and deliver projects that ultimately go into production within cost/schedule constraints

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team of technical experts, sales, subject matter experts, and other project managers

  • An ability to review and write scopes of work, project-related documentation, and develop and present presentations

  • A strong sense of ownership with a bias for action

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong team player

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $78,500 and $135,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
