Must have:
Bachelor/Master's degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on corporate law, contract law, and commercial litigation
Extensive experience drafting and negotiating software contracts and service-level agreements
Strong understanding of intellectual property law and its application in the software development industry
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in legal research and contract management software tools

Drafting and Reviewing Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of software contracts, including software licensing agreements, service agreements, master services agreements, and other related contracts ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Develop and review SLAs to establish clear expectations regarding the quality and delivery of services provided by the company.
Litigation Management: Manage litigation matters by collaborating with external counsel, conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and representing the company's interests in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the software development sector, and ensure the company's compliance with them.
Risk Management: Identify legal risks associated with business activities, propose risk mitigation strategies, and provide proactive legal advice to relevant stakeholders.
Intellectual Property Protection: Provide legal guidance on intellectual property matters, including patent, copyright, and trademark issues, and ensure the protection of the company's intellectual property rights.
Contract Management: Implement and maintain an efficient contract management system to streamline contract processes, ensure proper documentation, and track contract obligations and deadlines.
Legal Advice and Training: Provide legal advice and training to internal teams on legal matters, contract interpretation, compliance requirements, and best practices.
Due Diligence: Conduct legal due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and other strategic transactions to assess legal risks and liabilities.
Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including business development, finance, product development, and compliance, to support business objectives while managing legal risks.
Requirements
