THIS OPPORTUNITY:

We’re seeking a Senior FX Artist to help us bring cutting-edge VFX to life on exciting new projects! You’ll play a pivotal part in creating high-end, photorealistic FX for film and TV, developing intricate simulations, and bringing complex elements together to elevate each shot. If you have a passion for shaping extraordinary visual effects and are eager to leave your mark on exciting, high-profile projects, we’d love to hear from you! WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Create high-quality FX elements (fire, smoke, explosions, fluid simulations, rigid body dynamics).
• Integrate FX elements with lighting, shadows, and reflections for a polished final look.
• Take direction well, implement feedback, and effectively communicate with the team.
• Manage time effectively and produce high-quality work under pressure.
• Assist in R&D for tool enhancements and create utility scripts and digital assets.
• Optimize FX setups for resource efficiency and create reusable templates for the team.
• Deliver final compositions and render passes as needed, ensuring high-quality output for integration into the final shot.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• 5+ years experience with Houdini simulations.
• Strong combination of technical knowledge and creative, visual instincts.
• Deep understanding of physical dynamics and natural phenomena.
• Proficient in shading and rendering techniques using Solaris/Karma.
• Clean file management and node tree organisation.  
• Ability to consider storytelling and art direction when creating FX.
• Skilled in managing FX asset impact on performance.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a passion for continuous growth.
