Job Description

Tesla is seeking a skilled Body Repair Technician (Panel Beater) to join its innovative Body Repair Program in Eagle Farm. Responsibilities include performing structural and cosmetic repairs on Tesla Model S, 3, X, and Y vehicles, adhering to Tesla's repair procedures. This involves using advanced tools and techniques, including Celette Frame Jigs, gluing, riveting, welding, metal finishing, and body filler application. The role also encompasses replacing various parts associated with collision repair, from body panels and suspension components to radiators, airbags, and trim. Proficiency in MIG welding and teamwork are essential. The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair, a strong work ethic, and excellent attention to detail. I-CAR Australia Welding certification and a Collision Repair and Maintenance certificate are advantageous. This is a full-time position offering a competitive hourly rate ($40-$55) plus Tesla equity.

Must have:

3+ years automotive collision repair experience
Proficient in MIG welding
Structural and cosmetic repair skills
Teamwork and organization skills
Ability to follow repair procedures

Good to have:

I-CAR Australia Welding certification
Certificate in Collision Repair & Maintenance

What You’ll Do

Perform Structural and cosmetic repairs on Tesla Models S, 3, X & Y vehicles in accordance with Tesla-specific Repair procedures
Use Celette Frame Jigs for setting New Structural Components
Glue, Rivet, and Weld structural components being replaced
Repair exterior cosmetic panels via Metal Finishing and body filler
Replace all parts associated with collision repair including body panels, suspension parts, vehicle structure, Radiators, Airbags and Trim
Proficient in MIG Welding
Follow Standards and work in Teams
