Job Description
Tesla's Body Repair Vehicle Detailer in Auckland will join a groundbreaking program, restoring Tesla vehicles using advanced tools and eco-friendly processes. Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and servicing Tesla electric vehicles; operating various hand, power, and shop tools; maintaining records of time and materials; ordering supplies and parts; maintaining vehicle cleanliness; supporting journeymen technicians; and utilizing detailing methods such as wet sanding, polishing, buffing, and waxing. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of automotive collision repair experience, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn advanced automotive technologies. The role demands a team-oriented approach and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

What You’ll Do- 3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair
- Performs entry-level work in the inspection, repair, and service of Tesla electric vehicles
- Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
- Perform equipment inspections and adjustments
- Maintain records of time and materials
- May order shop supplies and parts as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Help maintain vehicle cleanliness of customer cars
- Support journeymen technicians as needed
- Knowledge of: Methods, techniques for detailing vehicles - wet sand, polish, buff , wax, etc.
- Efficient skills in basic automotive techniques related to repair and servicing of automobiles
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new and advanced automotive technologies
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Perform detailed, daily record keeping and reporting
- Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
- Work in a team-based environment and achieve common goals
- Retail automotive service experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license
