Job Summary
Ayming Canada is seeking a Business Development Manager specializing in public funding to join its growing team. This strategic role involves identifying and developing public financing opportunities, advising companies on grant applications, ensuring compliance, and managing the full sales cycle. The ideal candidate will combine commercial and technical expertise, build strategic partnerships, and actively monitor public funding policies. Must Have
- Identify and develop public funding opportunities (federal and provincial programs)
- Advise companies on all stages: needs analysis, financial modeling (ROI/TCO), grant application preparation and follow-up
- Ensure compliance and quality of submitted proposals
- Manage the entire sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, high-level meetings (CFO, general management), negotiation and closing deals
- Build lasting trust relationships and develop a network of strategic partners
- Actively monitor public policy and funding scheme developments
Good to Have
- Knowledge of CIR, CII / aid and subsidies is a plus

Job Description
As part of the development of our activity in Canada, we are recruiting a Business Development Manager specialized in public funding. This strategic position is for an experienced profile, capable of combining commercial and technical expertise.
Your missions:
- Identify and develop public funding opportunities (federal and provincial programs).
- Advise companies at all stages: needs analysis, financial modeling (ROI/TCO), preparation and follow-up of grant applications.
- Ensure the compliance and quality of submitted proposals.
- Manage the entire sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, meetings with high-level decision-makers (CFO, general management), negotiation and closing deals.
- Establish lasting trust relationships and develop a network of strategic partners.
- Actively monitor the evolution of public policies and funding mechanisms.
Qualifications
Desired profile:
We are looking for a profile that combines the rigor of consulting and the soul of a hunter.
- Education: Bac +4/5 (Business School, University, Engineering, etc.).
- Language: Bilingual English and French
Key skills:
- Confirmed experience (minimum 5 years) in public subsidies, innovation financing or consulting.
- You have demonstrated experience in business development (BtoB), ideally in the sale of complex services.
- You understand the investment challenges of companies and are able to approach them strategically.
- You possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong financial skills: ROI/TCO modeling, budgeting, profitability analysis.
- You are autonomous, you master the management of a sales pipeline and you are comfortable with high-level interlocutors (CEO, CFO, R&D…)
- Knowledge of CIR, CII / aid and subsidies is a plus
