Job Description

The People (HR) Systems team at Visa is expanding the Employee Experience group. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Centered design professional to join the team and shape how to deliver exceptional experiences to our employees globally. Reporting to the Senior Director, Employee Experience Systems they would be an integral part of establishing practices and tools to deliver solutions that are intuitive and accessible. The role will be focus on creating solutions that meet the real needs of the end users by understanding the context in which users interact with a product or service, involving them in the design process through research, testing, and feedback.

This role will also stay connected with the market around leading practices in People Technology, providing insights into market trends, industry changes that provides the information and insights needed to make informed decisions that drive scale and improved employee experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting user research: Gathering data through interviews, surveys, and other methods to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Working closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that design decisions are informed by user insights.
  • Prototyping and testing: Creating prototypes of their solutions and test them with users to gather feedback and make iterative improvements.
  • Developing design concepts: Based on user research, creating concepts that solve real user problems in a visually appealing and intuitive way.
  • Communicating design solutions: Communicating the design decisions to stakeholders and ensuring that everyone is aligned on the overall design direction.
  • Ensuring accessibility and inclusiveness: Responsible for ensuring that their designs are accessible and usable for all users, including people with disabilities and those from diverse backgrounds.
  • Staying up to date with design trends and technology: As people technology trends evolve, one must continuously develop their skills and knowledge to stay current.
  • Presenting insights and recommendations: Communicate their findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including decision-makers, in a clear and compelling manner.

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 5 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful track record leading delivery of complex, multi-faceted initiatives, or projects
  • Understanding of People Technology stack and core People processes
  • Experience working in large/global corporate environments
  • Excellent written and communication skills, able to present to executive management, able to communicate complex security and technology concepts to non-technical staff
  • Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and have influence across organizational boundaries through excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence and steer a wide range of stakeholders while bringing together and working with a team of people with varied backgrounds - business analysts, technical experts, process owners

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $137,300.00 to $210,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
