Job Description: Midas VFX is seeking a highly skilled and creative FX Artist with expertise in Houdini to join our team remotely for a one-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating complex and realistic visual effects that enhance the storytelling of our current projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and create high-quality visual effects using Houdini, including simulations for smoke, fire, water, destruction, and other natural phenomena.
• Collaborate closely with VFX supervisors, directors, and other team members to achieve the desired visual effects that align with the project’s vision.
• Optimize and troubleshoot effects to ensure they work efficiently within the project’s technical constraints.
• Work independently to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of artistic quality.
• Implement feedback from supervisors and iterate on effects to achieve the desired final look.
• Maintain a high level of technical skill and artistic creativity throughout the project.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an FX Artist with expertise in Houdini.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create complex and realistic visual effects.
• Proficient in creating a wide range of FX, including but not limited to, fluid simulations, particle systems, and rigid body dynamics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Strong understanding of lighting, rendering, and compositing.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Experience with other VFX software (e.g., Nuke, Maya) is a plus.
