The Product Manager will lead the design and development of FICO’s platform capabilities for creating intuitive, scalable, and efficient business user interfaces. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, user experience insight, and a strong understanding of business workflows. This person will work closely with engineering, design, and customer teams to enable business users to create impactful experiences. Responsibilities include defining product vision, conducting user research, developing features, optimizing workflows, and analyzing performance metrics.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, Business, or a related field
  • Significant experience in product management, with a focus on business tools
  • Proven success in delivering user-centric, data-rich software products.
  • Proven experience with a combination of data-related technologies
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles, prototyping tools, and usability testing processes.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate workflows and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
Good to have:
  • Understanding of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Experience in designing interfaces for specific industries
  • Background in Agile development methodologies would be an advantage.

The Opportunity

"We are looking for an experienced and user-focused Product Manager to lead the design and development of FICO’s platform capabilities for creating intuitive, scalable, and efficient business user interfaces. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, user experience insight, and a strong understanding of business workflows. You will work closely with engineering, design, and customer teams to enable our Platform business users to self-serve to create impactful experiences that empower them to achieve their goals effectively." - Hiring Manager.

What You'll Contribute

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Define the vision and strategy for business user experiences, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and customer needs.

  • User Research: Conduct in-depth user research and gather feedback to understand pain points, workflows, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Feature Development: Collaborate with UX/UI designers and engineers to conceptualize, prioritize, and implement interface features and enhancements.

  • Workflow Optimization: Develop interfaces that streamline business processes and improve user efficiency, ensuring a seamless and productive experience.

  • Usability Testing: Oversee usability testing to validate designs, identify issues, and refine the user experience.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with stakeholders across product, sales, and customer support teams to deliver interfaces that address business and customer needs.

  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key metrics such as task completion rates, user satisfaction scores, and time-on-task to evaluate interface performance.

  • Scalability: Ensure interfaces are designed to scale with growing user bases and evolving business requirements.

  • Communication: Act as a champion for user-centered design principles and communicate product updates, goals, and results to stakeholders.

What We're Seeking

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Significant experience in product management, with a focus on business tools and user interfaces

  • Proven success in delivering frontend, user-centric, data-rich software products.

  • Proven experience with a combination of data-related technologies including predictive analytics, decision intelligence or optimization.

  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles, prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Balsamiq), and usability testing processes.

  • Understanding of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to evaluate workflows and identify areas for improvement.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.

  • User-Centric Mindset: Passion for building interfaces that solve real business problems and delight users.

  • Platform Mindset: Ability to create software (1) that coexists with other capabilities as part of a larger toolset; (2) that others use to create solutions with.

  • Experience in designing interfaces for specific industries such as retail banking risk management, customer management, etc would be an advantage.

  • Background in Agile development methodologies would be an advantage.
