Summary
As a Quality Designer for Frostbite, you will identify, report on, and achieve quality targets for the Audio and Movies domain within the engine. You will work with other quality professionals to determine quality standards and achieve quality goals in the Audio and Movie domain with us.
Responsibilities
You will:
- Foster relationships with development partners. Proactively ensure their evolving needs are met and they are updated throughout the development cycle.
- Collate and track measurements. Analyze and use data to develop theories for experiments and highlight risks..
- Plan, assess, and prioritize work, report on status and progress, and identify cross project risks and mitigate.
- Partner and collaborate with QA colleagues to find and produce group-wide quality improvements to processes and workflows
- Investigate problems to understand the root cause
- Create test plans and milestones, both automated and manual, execute plans to completion.
Qualifications
You have:
- Comp Sci terminology and SDLC and processes (Agile preferred) knowledge.
- Source control, debuggers, and other software development tools (e.g. Perforce, Visual Studio) familarity.
- QA software testing and test planning: 2 + years
- Sound design or audio implementation in Games, Film or Music: 2+ years
- MS windows OS proficient
Bonus
You have:
- Used game engines, content/asset editors ( Wwise, Fmod, Pro tools, Reaper, Nuendo, Unreal, Unity, Sound forge) and game pipelines
- Used planning tools and defect tracking tools ( e.g. Qmetry, JIRA)
- Used 3D audio: Dolby Atmos, 7.1.4 speaker setups
- Used Audio and console hardware, synthesizers, plug-ins and DSP used in music production

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $73,200 - $101,700 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
