Where and how you can work
Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home or a bit of both, it's up to you.

About Protective Security and this role:

Protective Security’s role is to create a safe and secure environment for our people while embracing the company’s values of inclusion and belonging. As the Senior Security Analyst, you will be integral to enabling our people to do their best work safely and securely, no matter where in the world they are.
In this is a primarily on-site role based out of our Sydney Campus, you will be involved in a diverse range of security and safety risk management activities. You’ll support the uplift of our global campus security posture and improvements to campus incident and emergency management. A key part of this is the development, implementation and maintenance of security operational policy, processes and playbooks.
About the group:
The Security Group is responsible for protecting Canva’s people, spaces, systems, and data from information security threats and physical security threats. As a converged approach to security, our teams work together, and with other teams across Canva to prevent, detect and respond to physical security risks.
Role Responsibilities:
Support in the development and implementation of Canva’s campus safety and security policies and procedures. Lead in their maintenance so they remain fit for purpose.
Support Canva’s security and safety incident management and response delivery. Investigate and report on safety and security incidents.
Partner to develop and deliver safety and security training programs for Canva’s workforce and campuses, including emergency response procedures.
Identify and report on security trends.
Stay up to date on industry best practices and emerging trends in safety and security to continuously improve our processes.
Required Experience:
Background (3-5 years+) in security operations and risk management, ideally in a global multisite environment.
Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining security and safety policies and procedures.
Experience in physical security or safety incident management, including post-incident reviews, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate safety and security information to diverse audiences.
Knowledge of relevant safety and security regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g. AS 3745-2010).
Beneficial Experience (not required, but helpful)
Network of contacts in law enforcement, security and risk management.
Experience delivering training or security-themed awareness activities.
