About Service Supply Chain Product Engineering
SSC PE Team ensures service part quality, availability and customer experience. We are responsible for structuring service parts for useability at time of replacement. We monitor, escalate and provide support for quality issues. We assist supply chain to maximize inventory and provide solutions for part availability gaps. Regionally, we manage part returns, part testing and repair processes.
Job Summary
Senior Manager of SSC PE Team leads a team of experienced engineers supporting testing, repair and part quality that our customers expect and demand of HP. The team is located in every region of the world supporting products through 7 years after post production. This team works across supply chain, quality, manufacturing and repair centers ensuring quality of material at the most sustainable level and contributing to ensuring parts are on the shelf at the lowest process cost possible. Success is measured by KPIs for part quality, part availability and quality issue management.
Responsibilities
• SSC Engineering plays a key roll in all facets of SSC, the engineering manager must coordinate across multiple functions, as well as with the diverse engineering rolls to ensure collaboration and optimum utilization of time.
• Lead Global Product Engineering activities: support NPI of service parts, alternate part identification, post production part qualification, part rolls, and quality issue management.
• Lead Regional Engineering activities: support NPI of service part at partners focusing on initial requirements, test process, packaging, labeling, FAI approvals, quality data management and partner audits.
• Lead Process Engineering activities: support test and repair operations with both proprietary and off the shelf processes, OA3 and MPM Unlock process management, and meet all regional and regulatory requirements.
• Support SSC planning as subject matter experts.
• Manufacturing process support for Renew/Refurb processes. Be able lead engineering development of Renew facilities managing regulatory, custom image management, test, data, packaging.
• Support of SSC special projects to reduce cost or increase customer sat, efficiency, throughput.
• Monthly report out of quality and KPIs, Corrective Actions, quality issues, progress to goals.
• Ensure team is Future Ready with impactful professional development, connecting our work to the customer and growth mindset.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field.

PMP
