Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer with a specialized focus on Ubiquiti technologies, including UniFi, Fiber, and LTU platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of network design, deployment, and management, with a proven track record in configuring and maintaining advanced networking solutions. This role demands a professional with a strategic mindset who can contribute to the planning, execution, and optimization of our network infrastructure to meet the demands of our growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Design and Implementation
- Lead the design, deployment, and management of network solutions utilizing Ubiquiti UniFi, Fiber, and LTU technologies.
- Develop and implement network architectures that ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
- Conduct site surveys, network assessments, and feasibility studies to determine optimal network setups.

System Configuration and Management:
- Configure and maintain UniFi controllers, access points, switches, security gateways, and other related network hardware.
- Deploy and manage Ubiquiti Fiber solutions, including GPON networks, SFP modules, and fiber optics.
- Implement and optimize Ubiquiti LTU systems for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless communication.

Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Utilize advanced monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for network-related incidents.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.

Security and Compliance:
- Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including data protection and privacy laws.

Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support network-related needs for various business units.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and IT staff.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure the timely resolution of network-related issues.

Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in networking, particularly those related to Ubiquiti products and solutions.
- Identify opportunities for network optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Ubiquiti UEWA, UEWAP, or similar) are highly desirable. Experience in the amount of 5-8 years in lieu of Education is accepted.

Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with significant exposure to Ubiquiti UniFi, Fiber, and LTU technologies.
- Proven experience in designing and managing large-scale, enterprise-level networks.


Technical Skills:
- Expert knowledge of Ubiquiti UniFi networking equipment, including controllers, access points, switches, and security gateways.
- Advanced understanding of fiber optic networking, including GPON, SFP modules, and fiber installation practices.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Ubiquiti LTU platforms for wireless broadband communication.
- Strong background in network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., UniFi Network Controller, SNMP, Nagios).

Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
