Job Description

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, Application Integration at Google, you will be responsible for architecting and designing scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions for our customers. You will provide technical leadership to a team of engineers, mentor them, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration. You will work closely with product managers to define the roadmap for the Application Integrations and Connectors product. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, develop strategies, and ensure successful product delivery. You will drive the adoption of best practices and ensure the use of cutting-edge technologies to enhance the performance and security of the platform. You will provide technical expertise during critical incidents and complex problem-solving efforts to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience in software development
7 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure
5 years of experience with design and architecture
5 years of experience with testing/launching software products

Good to have:

Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams
3 years of experience working in a matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects
Experience working with Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, networking
Architecting large software systems

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
7 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, and/or experience with compute technologies, storage, and/or hardware architecture.
5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
3 years of experience working in a matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
Experience working with Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, networking, architecting large software systems.

Responsibilities

Architect and design scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions that cater to the diverse and growing needs of our customers.
Provide technical leadership to a team of skilled engineers, mentor and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Collaborate with product managers to define the road map for the Application Integrations and Connectors product. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, develop strategies, and ensure successful product delivery.
Drive the adoption of best practices and ensure the use of cutting-edge technologies to enhance the performance and security of the platform.
Provide technical expertise during critical incidents and complex problem-solving efforts to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
