Valeo Electric and Electronic Systems Plant in Czechowice-Dziedzice is engaged in the production of starters, air dampers and valves, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and innovative electric generators for hybrid vehicles, as well as the regeneration of alternators, starters, dual mass flywheels and compressors for car air-conditioning. Valeo Plant in Czechowice-Dziedzice has its own modern research and development center which provides innovative solutions for car manufacturing
Currently for our entity Valeo Electric and Electronic Systems Plant in Czechowice-Dziedzice we recruit **HSE Manager.**
Your challenges:
- Ensure compliance with Polish occupational HSE and Valeo Group requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE procedures, risk assessments, and safe work instructions and lead accident/incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive safety culture and awareness across all levels of the organization.
- Plan and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with Polish fire protection law and Valeo standards, conduct regular audits.
- Implement and monitor fire protection measures in line with FM Global and NFPA requirements (sprinkler systems, hydrants, fire detection) and coordinate fire drills, evacuation plans, and cooperation with the Fire Brigade (PSP).
- Ensure compliance with Polish and Valeo Group environmental legislation and reporting (air emissions, waste, water, noise, reporting obligations – KOBiZE, BDO)
- Monitor and lead initiatives to reduce environmental impact and energy consumption in line with Valeo’s sustainability goals.
- Coordinate and support internal, external, and corporate HSE audits.
- Prepare HSE reports and KPIs for Plant Management and Valeo Group.
- Manage the HSE team (safety specialists, environmental and fire protection officers).
- Provide expert advice to Plant Management regarding compliance, risk management, and HSE performance.
- Liaise with external authorities and institutions (Labour Inspectorate, Environmental Inspectorate, Fire Brigade, UDT).
- Maintain and improve the Management Systems (ISO 14001, ISO 50001,ISO 45001 ).
Requirements
- University degree in Occupational Health & Safety and / or Environmental Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in a production environment (automotive preferred), at least 2 years in a managerial position.
- Strong knowledge of Polish HSE, Environmental, and Fire Protection regulations.
- Proven experience with FM Global and NFPA standards.
- Practical experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 management systems.
- Very good command of English (mandatory for communication with Valeo Group).
- Strong leadership skills with ability to manage and develop a team.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proactive approach, results orientation, and ability to drive change.
