Job Description

Develop and support software solutions for Pixel power management, diagnosis, and optimization. Design and develop advanced power optimizations in software and firmware for the Pixel Kernel, prioritizing power, latency, and stability. Work involves Linux kernel development around power management (system and runtime) and debugging power issues. Improve observability of hardware and subsystem power states. This role requires experience with software development (Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript), data structures/algorithms, and embedded operating systems. Experience with Linux Kernel, Android Kernel, and power management software is preferred.
Must have:
  • Software development (C, C++, Java, Python)
  • Data structures and algorithms
  • Embedded OS experience
  • Power management software development
  • Linux Kernel development
  • Debugging and issue triage
Good to have:
  • Experience with Linux Kernel Internals or Android Kernel
  • Power Management software for embedded systems

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • 1 year of experience working with embedded operating systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Linux Kernel, Linux Kernel Internals or Android Kernel.
  • Experience in Power Management software for embedded systems.
