About the Role: Atari is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer with a focus on Python development to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing our backend systems and driving our technological initiatives forward. Your expertise will be pivotal in optimizing our infrastructure, ensuring robust security, and maintaining high-performance databases.

Responsibilities:

● Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Python to meet business requirements and objectives.

● Optimize and manage SQL databases (we use PostgreSQL) for performance, security, and reliability.

● Deploy and maintain Linux servers and manage networking tasks.

● Implement caching mechanisms using Redis (or similar technologies) to enhance system performance.

● Utilize Docker for containerization and efficient deployment of applications.

● Work with Elastic Search to implement and manage search functionalities. 

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate frontend and backend components, ensuring seamless user experiences.

● Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and security standards to drive continuous improvement. 

● Provide technical expertise and support to resolve complex issues and address challenges related to backend development.

Requirements:

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

● Proven experience as a Python Developer with at least 4 years of professional experience.

● Strong proficiency in SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

● Experience with Linux servers and networking.

● Knowledge of Redis or similar caching technologies.

● Proficiency in Docker for containerization.

● Experience with Elastic Search for implementing and managing search functionalities.

● Strong understanding of server/networking security and infrastructure management.

● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Bonus Skills:

● Proficiency in JavaScript for full-stack development.

● Experience with machine learning technologies.
