Job Description

As a Sr Staff DevOps Engineer, you will lead infrastructure efforts, enhancing it technically and securely. Your responsibilities include designing cloud solutions, leading infrastructure development, executing the technical roadmap, and providing expert guidance. You'll ensure service uptime, implement security measures, and offer user insights. You will be working on cloud infrastructure, preferably with a focus on GCP. You will be responsible for end-to-end development and improvement initiatives, from conceptualization to execution, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
Must have:
  • 4+ years as DevOps Engineer
  • Experience in Cloud Infrastructure
  • Proficiency in Bash, Python, or JavaScript
  • Expertise in CI/CD practices
  • Proficiency in Observability tools
  • Familiarity with Database Infrastructure
  • Expertise in configuration management
  • Solid experience in Kubernetes
  • Linux administration experience
Good to have:
  • Experience in designing multi-service architectures
  • Collaborative approach

At Prisma Cloud Application Security (CAS), we pioneer cloud security for developers and DevOps. Our cloud security platform is designed to empower teams through automation and security-as-code methodologies. CAS enables teams to seamlessly identify, rectify, and prevent misconfigurations in both deployed cloud resources and infrastructure as code. 

We are on the lookout for a dynamic and tech-savvy DevOps professional who will take charge of our infrastructure. In this role, you will be at the forefront, leading efforts to enhance our infrastructure both from a technical and security perspective. Your Impact

  • Own and Innovate Infrastructure - Design and implements cloud solutions 

  • End-to-End Development - Lead the entire lifecycle of infrastructure development and improvement initiatives - From conceptualization to execution, ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

  • Drive Technical Roadmap - Execute our technical roadmap while aligning with organizational initiatives. Play a key role in shaping the future direction of our technology stack.

  • Technical Expertise and Advisory Role – Serve as a subject matter expert in infrastructure and security, providing guidance and consultation while supporting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Uptime Assurance - Enhance service uptime by establishing and enforcing standards and processes, including SLAs - Set up comprehensive monitoring infrastructures and provide hands-on support as needed.

  • Security Champion Initiatives - Actively contribute to making our system more secure - Implement robust security measures, conduct regular audits, and stay updated on the latest security best practices

  • Product Consultancy - Offer valuable insights and consultancy from a user's perspective - Provide inputs to enhance the product based on your experience as a potential end user of our system.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 4+ years as DevOps Engineer, with a passion for technology, strong motivation and hands-on experience in -

    • Cloud Infrastructure - Preferably with a focus on GCP 

    • Programming Proficiency - Experience in programming with proficiency in any of the following: Bash, Python, or JavaScript.

    • Expertise in CI/CD practices, preferably within Gitlab CI and Jenkins.

    • Observability and Monitoring - Proficiency in implementing and managing observability tools and monitoring infrastructures to ensure system performance, reliability, and rapid issue resolution

    • Database Infrastructure Experience - Familiarity with managing Database Infrastructure, with experience in one or more of the following technologies: BigQuery, MongoDB, Neo4j, or ElasticSearch.

    • Expertise in configuration management & IAC tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Helm

    • Solid experience in container workloads and Kubernetes.

    • Linux administration, internals, and network troubleshooting

 

  • Architectural Experience - Proven track record in designing and building multi-service production high-scale architectures and complex networks.

  • Team Player - Collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team, fostering a positive and inclusive working environment.

  • Loves getting things done! Strong commitment to task completion and achieving objectives.

  • Versatility and Rapid Learning - Adaptable and fast self-learner, capable of handling various aspects of infrastructure and development
