Video Editor (Fixed Term Contract)

At Dreamhaven Publishing, we're on a mission to create memorable and meaningful player experiences by building a new game company grounded in our shared values and unwavering passion. We're looking for a contract Video Editor to join our team and play a crucial role in bringing our game marketing campaigns to life. This role will work closely with the Creative Director to create awesome videos across our portfolio of games.

This is a temporary role with an estimated duration through April 2025. 

What we need:

• Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on game trailers and promotional videos
• Proficiency in video editing software, including Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or similar
• Able to do light motion graphics and work off of templates

• Strong understanding of video game trailer pipeline - concepting, gameplay capture, video editing techniques, storytelling

• Understanding of sound/audio design and mixing is a plus
• Highly organized, able to meet deadlines, and quick to iterate on edits
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Passionate about video games and has a deep understanding of the gaming culture and trends

• Ability to do light gameplay capture to supplement assets is preferred but not required

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with the Creative Director and development teams to understand the creative vision and marketing goals of our games
• Edit bespoke trailers, cutdowns, and other promotional videos
• Craft dynamic and compelling stories with live action or gameplay capture that engage gamers of all ages
• Work with live-action, gameplay capture, mograph, etc to create longform and shortform videos
• Organize and manage video projects to meet deadlines, ensuring a smooth workflow and quick iteration on edits
• Stay current with industry trends and editing techniques to continually improve the quality of our video content

The base salary range for this position is $74,970 to $124,949 USD per year, which is associated with our Level 2 salary band. The range listed for this position is just one component of Dreamhaven’s total compensation package for team members and exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
