Job Description

As a visual inspector, you assess products, ensuring they meet quality standards like IPC-A 600 and performing electrical tests. You play a crucial role in the production process, influencing the final product. You collaborate with quality and logistics colleagues, handling varied tasks daily, including manual and automatic inspections, measurements, and electrical testing.
Must have:
  • Perform interim and final inspections on PCBs (manually and with AOI machine)
  • Perform measurements (dimensions) on products, record and assess results
  • Electrically test PCBs, also detect (and sometimes repair) errors
  • Register deviations for analysis
  • Consult with quality colleagues (Quality control) in case of doubt
Good to have:
  • Experience with a microscope
  • Knowledge of IPC standards

About the team at ICCG-PCB

The ICCG-PCB (Industrial Competence Center Group Printed Circuits Boards) is the production facility for complex printed circuit boards (PCBs) within the Thales Group. Think of the highest quality, challenging designs, and customers worldwide.

The products are supplied worldwide within the Thales Group as well as to external customers. The ICCG-PCB consists of approximately 90 colleagues working in production, quality, logistics, engineering, and sales. We are currently in a ramp-up phase and are looking for new talent to strengthen our team!

We are looking for a: Visual Inspector PCB Production (manual and automatic)

About the role

As a visual inspector, you assess the products. You check whether everything complies with quality standards (such as IPC-A 600) and also perform electrical tests. You are an important player in the production process because products pass through inspection multiple times, thereby making a significant impact on the final result.

You work closely with colleagues from quality and logistics and have a lot of variety in your work. Every day you receive new tasks in our digital system: sometimes manual inspection, sometimes automatic inspection, measuring, or electrical testing.

The main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Perform interim and final inspections on printed circuit boards (manually and with the AOI machine)
  • Perform measurements (dimensions) on products, record and assess results
  • Electrically test the printed circuit boards, also detect (and sometimes repair) errors
  • Register deviations for analysis
  • Consult with quality colleagues (Quality control) in case of doubt

About you

  • MBO level education and with a technical background
  • Persistent, results-oriented, pragmatic, and a team player
  • Has good communication skills and is able to communicate well at multiple levels
  • Enjoys initiating improvements and thereby optimizing work activities
  • Able to read technical product documentation and translate it to the work level
  • Willing to work in shifts (with extra allowance and free during the day!)
  • You can read English (for technical documents)
  • Experience with a microscope is a plus
  • An added bonus: you already know something about IPC standards
