Job Summary
Job Description
The Technical Consulting Engineer will have a working background in the Security domain. The engineer can work Queue hours and pick cases with the team. Cisco leads/team will assist with trainings and such to get them up to speed, however the candidate should already have a foundational understanding of the platforms noted below. The candidate should have technical knowledge/experience of working on features like NAT, ALG, HA, IDS/IPS or working on AAA technologies like RADIUS, TACACS, DOT1X or working on VPN technologies like IKEv1, IKEv2, PKI, SSL VPN, NHRP, GRE over IPsec, Remote Access VPN Clients, etc. Good understanding of Cisco ISE architecture and policies along with R&S concepts is required. Deep understanding of OSI model & protocols like ARP, TCP, IP, DHCP, DNS, IPSEC, ISAKMP. Working knowledge of Wireshark & programming languages like Python and experience in working in a Customer support environment with excellent customer handling skills.
Must have:
- Technical knowledge of features like NAT, ALG, HA, IDS/IPS.
- Experience with AAA technologies like RADIUS, TACACS, DOT1X.
- Knowledge of VPN technologies like IKEv1, IKEv2, PKI, SSL VPN.
- Good understanding of Cisco ISE architecture and policies.
- Deep understanding of OSI model & protocols.
- Working knowledge of Wireshark & programming languages like Python.
- Experience in customer support environment.
Good to have:
- Cisco Security Certifications (CCNA Security, CCNP Security, CCIE Security).
- Linux and VMware knowledge.
- Experience in working on Cisco Products - IOS/IOS-XE routers.

- Should have technical knowledge/experience of Working on features like NAT, ALG, HA, IDS/IPS Or working on AAA technologies like RADIUS, TACACS, DOT1X Or working on VPN technologies like IKEv1, IKEv2, PKI, SSL VPN, NHRP, GRE over IPsec, Remote Access VPN Clients, etc
- Good understanding of Cisco ISE architecture and policies along with R&S concepts
- Deep understanding of OSI model & protocols like ARP, TCP, IP, DHCP, DNS, IPSEC, ISAKMP
- Working knowledge of Wireshark & programming languages like Python
- Experience in working in a Customer support environment with excellent customer handling skills
- Logical problem-solving approach and analytical skills
- Minimum qualification
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering
- Cisco Security Certifications (CCNA Security, CCNP Security, CCIE Security) would be an added advantage
- Linux, VMware knowledge would be a plus
- Experience in working on Cisco Products - IOS/IOS-XE routers, would be a plus
