Job Description

This is a good opportunity to participate in a new in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) project for one of the biggest European car makers. This fast-growing project needs talented software developers and test engineers. As an Android Framework Developer, you'll collaborate on Car Framework & V-HAL development, creating robust and reusable solutions for an embedded environment. Responsibilities include developing embedded Android services and components with AOSP middleware, Java middleware Car services, HALs for vehicle components, troubleshooting, and unit testing. You'll work with Android Automotive OS and contribute to design and documentation. The role requires experience in developing or enhancing Android Framework services to support Android Application interfaces and adding vendor-specific properties in V-HALs. Experience with embedded, mobile, or consumer electronics platforms and AOSP internals is crucial.

Must have:

5+ years Java programming
5+ years C++ programming
Android Framework development (AOSP)
V-HAL experience
Embedded software development
Android NDK API experience
Android Native Daemon services

Good to have:

Android Automotive experience
Automotive Infotainment systems experience

Project description

This is a good opportunity to participate in the new in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) project for one of the biggest European car maker. This is a very fast growing project which requires talented software developers and test engineers who likes challenges and new cutting edge technologies. Applicant will have the possibility to gain experience in development or integrating/testing of different functionalities. Candidate will be part of the international team and have the opportunity to work with the latest software technologies like Android Automotive OS.

Responsibilities

As an Android Framework Developer for Android IVI, you will be involved to collaborate and develop solutions for Car Framework & V-HAL development on an embedded environment, which are robust and reusable.

Develop Embedded Android services and components with AOSP middleware for IVI system

Develop Java middleware Car services to support embedded Android applications

Develop HAL for Vehicle specific components

Root cause defects and provide robust software solutions

Participate in design, documentation, and unit testing to develop software components

Skills

Must have

Java programming language experience 5y+

C++ programming language experience 5y+

Android Development experience (AOSP) developing or enhancing Android Framework services to support Android Applications interfaces

Hands-on experience in addition of Vendor specific properties in V-HAL

Software development experience on embedded, mobile, or consumer electronic platforms

Experience with AOSP internals and Android NDK APIs

Experience implementing Android Native Daemon services

Nice to have

Experience & knowledge of Android Automotive

Experience in Automotive Infotainment systems
