Job Description

Gamemode One is seeking a Bedrock Programmer intern for a Winter 2025 co-op opportunity in Halifax. You'll craft features for their next Minecraft IP, collaborate with the art team, maintain versioning workflow, and optimize systems. This is a great chance to learn in an agile environment and contribute to the next great product in their portfolio.

Must have:

Typed programming languages
Minecraft Bedrock
Versioning and PR
Agile development

Good to have:

Art and VFX
Optimization and debugging
Feedback and communication
Engineering experience

Please Note: This opportunity is only available for those attending Acadia and Dalhousie University and pursing a Winter 2025 co-op. This is a 1 term co-op with the possibility of extension.

The Opportunity

In our growing organization, you'll bring your knowledge of typed programming languages to craft clean and scalable features for our next IP experience in Minecraft! You'll collaborate with the art and VFX team to bring functionality to their assets. You’ll also support in maintaining our versioning and PR workflow, as well as optimizing and debugging our systems.

During this role you will learn how to work in an agile environment with a dynamic development team. You’ll provide feedback to the greater project - helping the team develop the next great product in our portfolio! You will not just be working at a great company, but actively pushing forward engineering at Gamemode One.
