Job Description

Tesla's Body Repair Program in Eagle Farm seeks a skilled Body Repair Painter with 3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair using urethane-based refinishing systems. Responsibilities include high-quality spray application of primers, sealers, basecoats, and clearcoats, achieving approximately 6 fully prepped ROs daily. This involves precise basecoat blending, application of 2 and 3-stage colors, and collaboration with prep staff and other painters. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional finishing skills with minimal need for sanding/buffing, possesses I-Car Australia certification (a plus), and is proficient with various hand and power tools. The role requires a valid driver's license, willingness to train others, and comfort in a collision shop environment. Must have:

3+ years experience in automotive collision repair
High-quality spray application skills
Proficiency with urethane-based systems

What You’ll Do

High quality spray application of Primers, Sealers, Basecoats, and Clearcoats
Spraying approximately 6 (Fully Prepped) RO’s per day (2 Bumper, 1 - six panel jobs, 3 - Two to three panel jobs) in state-of-the-art Downdraft spray booths
Work closely with Prep Staff and other Painters to meet work demands as a team
Invisible basecoat colour blending
Application of 2 and 3 stage colours

What You’ll Bring

3+ years of experience refinishing cars in an automotive collision repair environment utilizing urethane based refinish systems
Able to produce sprayed finishes with little or no dirt and a consistent gloss and texture matching the OEM finish without the need to sand and buff
Willingness to work overtime if required
Any certification in I-Car Australia is a plus
Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
Capable of reading and comprehending automotive repair procedures
Experience with operations and maintenance of a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, test equipment
Must be willing to train others
Must be comfortable working in a collision shop environment
