Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented 2D Game Concept Artist with a strong ability to create compelling stories and characters. The ideal candidate will work closely with our game designers and writers to visualize characters, environments, and other game assets. This role requires a creative individual who can bring unique characters and worlds to life while contributing to the narrative development of our games.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality 2D concept art for characters, environments, and other game assets.

• Collaborate with the game design team to create cohesive and engaging stories.

• Create detailed character designs, including expressions, poses, and costume variations.

• Produce environment concepts that align with the game's aesthetic and narrative.

• Work iteratively with feedback from team members to refine concepts.

• Assist in the creation of storyboards and visual narratives.

• Ensure all artwork supports the game's visual and narrative goals.

• Stay updated with industry trends and techniques to continually improve artistic skills.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Concept Artist in the gaming industry or similar field.

• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in character design and storytelling.

• Proficiency in digital painting and drawing software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate).

• Excellent understanding of anatomy, form, and color theory.

• Ability to create artwork that aligns with the overall art direction and game design.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback effectively.

• Passion for gaming and storytelling.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with 2D animation or storyboarding.

• Knowledge of game development pipelines and processes.

• Previous experience working on character-driven games or narrative-focused projects.
