Key responsibilities include designing and implementing predictive models, engineering data pipelines, developing interactive dashboards in Power BI, applying statistical methods, creating and maintaining ETL processes, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This position requires a deep understanding of healthcare data structures and the ability to translate insights into actionable interventions.
Must have:

Location: Gurgaon , UK Shift (2pm to 11 pm)

Department: Business Intelligence 

YOE: 4-5 years 

Reports to: Product Manager  

Job Type: Full-time 

We are seeking a Data Specialist to build provider-specific reports and optimize our healthcare facility's revenue cycle operations - improving patient outcomes, reducing costs, and enhancing healthcare delivery. You will develop clinical and financial data products for healthcare providers to achieve actionable insights that improve provider reimbursement rates, reduce claim denials, and enhance revenue integrity for hospitals and physician practices. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

Here’s what you will experience working as a Data Specialist:  
 

  • Design and implement predictive models for clinical outcomes, readmission risks, patient deterioration, and other healthcare-specific use cases using machine learning techniques 

  • Engineer data pipelines that transform raw healthcare data (claims, EHR, clinical) into analytics-ready formats suitable for predictive modelling 

  • Develop interactive, real-time predictive dashboards in Power BI that enable clinical and operational decision-makers to take proactive actions 

  • Apply statistical methods to identify patterns, trends, and correlations in healthcare data that inform risk stratification and population health management 

  • Create and maintain ETL processes that ensure data quality and accessibility for predictive analytics workflows. 

  • Implement analytics solutions for provider charge capture optimization and claims processing efficiency 

  • Apply statistical methods to identify patterns in provider denial rates, payment variances, and collection cycles 

  • Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to translate predictive insights into actionable interventions. 

  • Ensure all analytics solutions comply with HIPAA and healthcare data security regulations 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in health informatics, Data Science, Biostatistics, or related field 

  • 3+ years of experience applying predictive analytics specifically within healthcare environments (provider, payer, or health tech) 

  • Demonstrated experience building predictive models using healthcare data (e.g., readmission prediction, cost prediction, clinical deterioration models) 

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and statistical analysis 

  • Experience engineering data pipelines that integrate healthcare data sources (claims, EHR, clinical) 

  • Expertise in embedding predictive analytics within Power BI to create actionable dashboards 

  • Deep understanding of healthcare data structures including medical claims (CPT, ICD codes), EHR/EMR systems, and clinical workflows 

  • Familiarity with NLP techniques for unstructured clinical text analysis. 

  • Understanding of risk adjustment models (HCC, CMS-HCC) and their application in predictive analytics 

Technical Proficiency 

  • Microsoft Platform: Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, PowerQuery 

  • BI Tools: Advanced Power BI, DAX, Power Query, embedded predictive capabilities. 

  • Data Analysis: Advanced SQL, Python (scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy) 

  • Data Architecture: Data lineage, Data mesh principles & modelling (good to have) 

  • Healthcare Data: EMR integrations, claims data, EHR systems (Epic, Cerner) 

  • Interoperability standards: (HL7, FHIR) & their implementation
