Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a few motivated Summer Intern to join our DevOps Engineering team, focusing on building cloud infrastructure, enhancing automation and streamlining processes across various tools. This role will provide you with hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, working alongside seasoned professionals in the field.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Development & Automation: 
    • Assist in the design and implementation of automation scripts to optimize deployment pipelines using tools like Harness CI/CD and UrbanCode Velocity for SDLC Metrics.
    • Write and deploy Terraform to build scalable and robust infrastructure on public cloud providers like Amazon Web Services.
  • Integration Support: Help integrate and configure CI/CD tools with our existing systems, ensuring smooth workflows across development and operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members to improve documentation practices in Confluence and project tracking in Jira, ensuring all processes are well-documented and transparent.
  • Tool Proficiency: 
    • Gain hands-on experience with Artifactory for managing build artifacts and dependencies, and support teams in utilizing GitHub for version control and collaboration
    • Learn observability best practices and tools like Datadog to monitor infrastructure and security tooling to protect cloud environments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in current DevOps practices and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Agile Practice: Participate in our Agile events such as Sprint Planning, Grooming, and Demo to manage our work items from backlog to completion in Jira.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, preferably GitHub.
  • Familiarity with cloud concepts, preferably Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with an object-oriented programming language like Java, Python, or C++
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and relevant tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A genuine desire to learn about DevOps practices and tools.

Internship Program Information and Requirements: 

  • This is a Summer 2025 Internship program. Spring and Fall 2025 internships are not available. 
  • Must currently be pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university. 
  • Must be returning to school in the Fall of 2025. 
  • Must reside in the U.S. during the Summer internship program. 
  • Must be able to obtain authorization to work in the U.S. for the summer.
