Voodoo seeks an Experienced Mobile Developer to contribute to their core mobile Unity SDK, impacting millions of players. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining SDK features using Java/Kotlin (Android), Objective-C/Swift (iOS), and C# (Unity). The role involves the full feature lifecycle, from development and testing to performance optimization and supporting internal game studios. Must have:
  • 3-5+ years native Android (Java/Kotlin) and iOS (Objective-C/Swift) development

Team

You will be a part of a team of 9 engineers working on Voodoo's Mobile Unity SDK - a highly mission-critical component used in all our games and impacting millions of players worldwide. This team is a crucial part of Voodoo, owning the development and continuous improvement of this core technology.

The SDK itself is split into several different modules, including Ad Mediation, Analytics, Crash Reporting, Remote Configuration, In-App Purchases (IAP), and many more. You will work with a diverse technology stack encompassing C# (Unity), Android's Java/Kotlin, and iOS's Objective-C/Swift, ensuring a challenging and rewarding experience.

This team collaborates closely with many different stakeholders such as Core Gaming, Engineering & Data, Publishing Operations, and Game Studios, making it a highly visible and impactful team within Voodoo.  You will be involved in optimizing the SDK for peak performance, implementing innovative new features, integrating 3rd party SDKs, and ensuring its stability and reliability across a vast range of mobile devices and platforms.

Role
As an Experienced Mobile Developer at Voodoo, you'll be a key contributor to the core technology powering all our games. As a skilled native mobile developer, you'll own and develop essential SDK features primarily using Java/Kotlin for Android and Objective-C/Swift for iOS, while also integrating with and supporting our Unity (C#) framework. You will use Java/Kotlin, Objective C/Swift, and C# in your day-to-day work, depending on the project.

You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of features, from initial development to ensuring optimal performance and stability through rigorous testing of our SDK and its 3rd-party integrations.

Beyond development, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our internal game studios. You'll provide technical expertise and guidance, helping them integrate and leverage the SDK to its fullest potential. This is a highly collaborative role where your passion for mobile development and commitment to quality will directly impact millions of players worldwide. 

This role is based in Paris and requires to be in the offices 3 days/week.

    • 3-5+ years of professional experience in native Android development (Java/Kotlin) and iOS (Objective-C/Swift).
    • Solid understanding of mobile development best practices, design patterns, and architectural principles.
    • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for mobile applications.
    • Familiarity with integrating and working with third-party mobile SDKs.
    • Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies for mobile development.
    • A strong motivation to learn and work with Unity (C#) for SDK integration.
    • Proven experience in developing and maintaining SDKs or libraries for mobile platforms is a strong advantage.

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing teams and interfacing effectively with various stakeholders.
    • Ability to be self sufficient and work autonomously.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team.
    • A deep interest in game development is a plus.
