Other duties are communicating customer needs, testing new capabilities, publishing papers, creating presentations, providing technical support, and delivering training. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Japanese and English and have experience with CFD tools.

  • Experience with CFD mesh generation and solver tools.
  • Experience in scripting languages like Python.
  • Customer service orientation with problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Good to have:
  • Fluent in Japanese and English, French is a plus.

The CFD Application Engineer role offers an opportunity to join an exciting and highly motivated team, where your knowledge of CFD will be used to help our customers succeed in advanced CFD simulations in the aerospace, automotive, turbomachinery, industrial, marine industries and more. Using Cadence’s suite of CFD tools you will develop creative and innovative solutions for customers, benchmark product capabilities for a wide range of flow regimes and phenomena, advocate for best practices, and collaborate with members of the sales and product teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Cadence’s simulation technologies to solve industry problems in Automotive, Aerospace, Marine and other industry verticals.
  • Interface with Cadence customers to develop and support simulation related workflows.
  • Perform customer benchmarks to validate Cadence’s software products for industrial applications including correlation with published test data
  • Collaborate with Cadence’s customers to develop and validate CFD workflows and solutions that meet or exceed their needs
  • Continuously push the technology envelope and advance the state-of-the-art in industrial application of simulation and related technologies which can include joint industry/government research activities
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Sales, Research and Development, and Marketing teams on customer requirements and feedback from support engagements
  • Participate in customer meetings related to benchmarks, technical support, and other related activities virtually or in-person as needed
  • Collaborate with Cadence R&D to test and validate new capabilities.
  • Publish papers highlighting key industry solutions and advantages and generate associated marketing collateral.
  • Create technical presentations and reports documenting key findings, project activities and customer feedback
  • Create knowledge collateral and documentation related to customer education including articles, videos, and technical presentations
  • Provide technical support to Cadence customers for various applications
  • Deliver customer and internal training classes virtually or in-person as needed

The Ideal Candidate Should Have

  • Education: MS in mechanical, aerospace, or marine engineering. Doctoral degree preferred
  • Languages: Fluent in Japanese and English, French is a plus
  • Communication skills: Excellent presentation skills, ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and via email.
  • Experience with CFD mesh generation and solver tools with aerospace, automotive, industrial, turbomachinery, or marine applications
  • Experience in scripting languages like Python
  • Customer service oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to organize and prioritize
  • Team player with a positive attitude, willingness to offer and execute ideas and solutions to enhance processes within an evolving environment
