THIS OPPORTUNITY:

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Compositing Artist who’s as passionate as we are about creating jaw-dropping, photoreal VFX! If you love seamlessly blending elements, pushing creative boundaries, and collaborating with an incredible team to bring our shared vision to life, this is the role for you! -For our exciting upcoming projects, we’re focusing on reviewing applications from New Zealand and Australia. This position offers a fantastic 12-month contract opportunity!-

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Lead creation of high-quality digital composites and visual effects for film and episodic productions.
• Integrate live action and CGI, ensuring alignment with client vision and VFX supervisor direction.
• Perform advanced compositing tasks (tracking, matte extraction, element layering, color grading).
• Showcase an advanced proficiency in digital matte painting, texture painting, and paint/roto work.
• Collaborate with VFX Supervisors and Leads on creative, technical approaches, and shot consistency.
• Create, develop and refine shot aesthetics through look development, providing templates.
• Mentor junior team members, ensuring efficient workflows and timely delivery of high-quality shots.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• ⁠5+ years of experience as a Compositor in Feature Film and/or Episodic Series, with advanced Nuke proficiency (Gizmos, Groups).
• Strong artistic skills, with expertise in cinematography, color science, and compositing best practices.
• Basic scripting in Python is an advantage.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
• Experience with LookDev, and template setup.
• Effective collaboration with VFX Supervisors, Leads, and team members on creative and technical aspects.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and time management, ensuring smooth collaboration and meeting deadlines.
