How We LEAD:

UMG Nashville is hiring for a Senior Director, Finance. The ideal candidate possesses financial forecasting, analysis, and accounting experience with demonstrated proficiency in detailed financial analysis and reporting, financial systems, management of staff, and communication skills. Position works in office Monday-Thursday.

How You’ll CREATE:

  • Responsible for the Label’s P&L and related Balance Sheet, which includes the monthly analytical review (reviewing, reconciling, and analyzing the monthly financial results).
  • Manage monthly financial close in coordination with Central Accounting Services (CAS), including working with CAS & Corporate Finance to resolve issues, and providing supporting information / schedules where necessary.
  • Coordinate & oversee the preparation of the annual plan, corporate forecasts, and variance analysis for Corporate and Business Unit management.
  • Develop executive presentations in support of Actuals, Forecast and Plan.
  • Expected to enhance and modify models and databases as needed.
  • Collect, analyze, and report key performance indicators and highlight trends in margin, artist investment and cash flow.
  • Work with UMG Compliance and Audit teams to ensure controls narratives are kept up to date & controls testing is completed and documented regularly.
  • Work with external and internal auditors on business unit audits, process audits, SOX compliance reviews.
  • Develop reporting and analyses to support decision-making for management and 3rd parties.
  • Review Joint Venture, P&D, and D2C (merch/fan club/VIP) statements.
  • Special projects as required, including working with other departments across UMG & external partners.

Bring Your VIBE:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Hyperion Financial Management/Smartview Reporting, SAP and BPC planning financial application experience/knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products including advance skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must possess experience with monthly close, forecasting, expenses.
  • Great organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize based on evolving workload.
  • Ability to synthesize complex financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills with the capacity to relay to executives and management, while being sensitive to confidential information.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, including adaptability, personal effectiveness, and the ability to establish quick rapport.
  • Music industry experience preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize and effectively follow through under pressure and/or tight deadlines.
  • Show integrity, ethics, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of financial integrity.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP required; CPA experience preferred.
