We’re looking for a Freelance Junior Audio Mixer/Designer to contribute to the creation of engaging and dynamic video game trailers. The ideal candidate should be skilled in sound design, audio mixing, and mastering with a strong proficiency in Pro Tools. This role involves working closely with Finishing Supervisors to ensure high-quality audio production and timely delivery for gameplay trailers.
What will you do:
- Operate Pro Tools efficiently, using keyboard shortcuts.
- Work with Finishing Supervisors to assess project status and set delivery timelines.
- Identify and resolve low-quality or missing source materials.
- Record VO and ADR, and edit/clean dialogue.
- Design soundscapes, create environments, and edit music.
- Work with stereo and 5.1 formats.
- Ensure accurate tagging, versioning, and take management.
- Review and finalize mixes with creative teams, quickly implementing feedback.
- Master final versions and maintain proper project archiving.
- Provide technical support to other divisions as needed.
What you will need:
- 2+ years audio mixing professional industry environment required.
- Proficiency in Pro Tools, Izotope RX, Waves, and Soundminer.
- Familiarity with audio routing, busing, and mastering.
- Knowledge of broadcast and web audio standards for video game trailers.
This is a freelance position working onsite in Woodland Hills, Ca. 3 months.
