As a Senior Market Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for building analysis that helps shape the development and launch of internally developed games at Fortis Games. Your work will involve researching macro gaming trends, analyzing micro genres, validating audience sizes, and partnering with publishing and game teams. You will build frameworks to assess the market viability of game ideas and collaborate with teams specializing in user acquisition testing, user research/playtesting, and market intelligence. You will also create market intelligence templates to keep leadership informed of industry trends. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the gaming industry, relevant metrics, distribution, marketing, community, and product development.
Must have:
  • Experience in validation best practices (user acquisition, user testing, market intelligence)
  • Performance marketing background
  • Strong communication skills to inform and persuade teams
  • Ability to interpret ambiguous findings and communicate them effectively
  • Understanding of gaming industry and relevant metrics
  • Dedication to honesty and clarity in findings

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Market Intelligence, you’ll be an integral part of building out analysis that helps shape our internally developed games and strategically positioning them for launch.  This will include macro gaming trends, micro genre tear-downs and validating audience sizing. You will partner with publishing and game teams to build these out.

What you will achieve:

  • You will build analysis feeding market validation frameworks that provide crucial early-stage data on the market viability of our game ideas. 
  • You will work with our partner teams that specialize in various data gathering techniques, such as User Acquisition Testing, User Research/Playtesting, and Market Intelligence. 
  • You will build out templates for market intelligence that keep leadership informed of market trends

What you'll need to be successful:

  • A willingness to experiment and devise novel methods for exploring potential data gathering techniques 
  • A grasp of validation best practices (ideally spanning user acquisition, user testing, and market intelligence) and a history in performance marketing are prerequisites. 
  • You should have the ability to communicate your findings in a manner that informs and persuades teams. An aptitude for understanding and articulating the subtleties of ambiguous findings is crucial. 
  • The ability to absorb feedback from product teams and gauge its relevance to validation and assessment techniques is also necessary. 
  • Understanding of the gaming industry and relevant metrics
  • A strong understanding of distribution, marketing, community, and product is critical for success in this role. 
  • A dedication to honesty and clarity in your findings, irrespective of the consequences, is imperative. 
  • Your curiosity and desire to learn will help you stay ahead of market trends and drive your ongoing education in your craft and the gaming industry.
