Job Description

Dark Burn Creative, a division of Trailer Park Group (TPG), is seeking a Photographer/Cinematographer to create compelling shots within videogames for trailers. The role involves managing a team of capture artists, interpreting client briefs, and filming scenes based on a shot list from the creative director. The position is on-site, requiring the individual to collaborate with a team and adapt to the evolving industry. Must have:
  • 5+ years working with cameras and understanding cinematic language
  • Comfortability gaming with both Keyboard/Mouse and a Controller
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Comfortable in a constantly evolving industry
Good to have:
  • Creative vendor or studio experience preferred
  • Knowledge of video games and enjoy playing them
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite is a huge plus, but not required

Dark Burn Creative, a division of Trailer Park Group (TPG) is one of gaming's most prominent and growing entertainment marketing agencies, specializing in global content creation, trailers/promotions, and gameplay capture. We combine our creative storytelling expertise with large-scale production resources, uniquely positioning us to create, market, and distribute gaming content for our diverse client portfolio of top gaming development companies and major brands.

We are looking for an awesome Photographer/Cinematographer who can work within videogames to create compelling shots for our trailers. Just like a film set, you will be working with a team of capture artists to block out and create stellar looking scenes.

This position is based on-site at our Woodland Hills, California office.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage a team of capture artists
  • Understand a client brief and work within the game to bring the vision to life
  • Work from a shot list from the creative director to film scenes for a trailer

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years working with cameras and understanding cinematic language
  • Comfortability gaming with both Keyboard/Mouse and a Controller
  • Creative vendor or studio experience preferred
  • Knowledge of video games and enjoy playing them
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Comfortable in a constantly evolving industry
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite is a huge plus, but not required
  • O.K. with constructive criticism and several rounds of feedback.
