As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, Application Integration at Google, you will be responsible for architecting and designing scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions for our customers. You will provide technical leadership to a team of engineers, mentor them, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration. You will work closely with product managers to define the roadmap for the Application Integrations and Connectors product. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, develop strategies, and ensure successful product delivery. You will drive the adoption of best practices and ensure the use of cutting-edge technologies to enhance the performance and security of the platform. You will provide technical expertise during critical incidents and complex problem-solving efforts to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in software development
  • 7 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture
  • 5 years of experience with testing/launching software products
Good to have:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams
  • 3 years of experience working in a matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects
  • Experience working with Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, networking
  • Architecting large software systems

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 7 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, and/or experience with compute technologies, storage, and/or hardware architecture.
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
  • Experience working with Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, networking, architecting large software systems.
