Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
Experience with one or more of the following coding languages (e.g., C++ or Go (Golang)).

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with database internals, database language theories, database design, SQL and database programming.
Proven ability to mentor and develop engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Help in building systems at scale that comprise the very foundation of Google's infrastructure.
Prioritize test health, manage technical debt and deliver customer satisfaction. Build systems for the long term, and to learn from each other through design and code reviews.
Solve foundational infrastructure issues so that other services can solve problems for users.
