Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager III at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects related to data center equipment manufacturing and supply chain. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to define program goals, prioritize deliverables, develop project plans, monitor key metrics, and identify corrective actions. You'll work across teams to drive impact and build dashboards. Experience in manufacturing operations for electrical equipment, NPI programs, and product lifecycle management is crucial. The role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, along with the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to both engineers and executives.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years program management experience
  • Manufacturing operations experience (electrical equipment)
  • NPI program and PLC experience
  • Cross-functional project management
Good to have:
  • MBA or Master's degree in relevant field
  • Experience in Design and Manufacturing in an NPI role
  • Knowledge of hardware BOM, process documentation, assembly, and test processes

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with manufacturing operations for electrical equipment and hardware.
  • Experience in managing New Product Introduction (NPI) programs and the product life-cycle (PLC).

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Operations Engineering or other relevant field.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in Design and Manufacturing in a New Product Introduction (NPI) role.
  • Experience in multiple aspects of hardware operations.
  • Knowledge about typical hardware build of materials, process documentation and assembly and test processes.

Our mission is to accelerate the Delivery of Data Center Equipment for Google Cloud with scale and agility by leveraging our Manufacturing Operations expertise to launch, ramp, and sustain products through the Equipment Supply Chain.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand or identify defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.
  • Prioritize program goals, understand and translate other stakeholders’ needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables with minimal assistance, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing goals and deliverables.
  • Define the scope of projects and develop, execute or manage project plans for supported programs.
  • Review key metrics pertaining to a program, monitor potential metric deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations.
  • Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work towards mutual goals. Build, maintain and enhance business, operational, and management dashboards.
