Luxoft seeks a Senior Android Kotlin Developer for a large automotive project involving system integration and development of a converged Instrument cluster/Infotainment Android project. Responsibilities include designing system architecture for Android Automotive OS, supporting the development team on Android frameworks and APIs (VHAL, Android Automotive Framework, Car API, etc.), developing Android Automotive applications, and ensuring compliance with CDD and CTS requirements. The role requires extensive embedded SW development experience in the automotive industry and strong leadership skills.
Must have:
  • University degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • 6+ years of experience in Kotlin
  • Expert knowledge in Android OS architecture and design
  • Expert knowledge in software architecture and design
  • Agile experience
  • Technical Leading capabilities
Good to have:
  • Experience using modern C++
  • HW resource allocation: RAM/CPU/NVM
  • Knowledge of automotive software development processes and Agile
  • Knowledge with AutoSAR classic (4.2 Vector) SSD/Architect
  • Knowledge of AutoSAR adaptive + QNX OS + Qt HMI connectors
  • Expert knowledge in HW buses: CAN, UART, Ethernet, i2c/SPI, i2s/a2
Project description

Luxoft is seeking support in strengthening our team for a large engagement with one of the OEMs. The project covers overall system integration and development of a converged Instrument cluster/Infotainment Android project. We are looking for senior roles with extensive experience in overall embedded SW development for the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

Ensures the design of the system architecture of the project with regard to the specifics and requirements of the Android Automotive operating system

Provides support to the development team on topics such as (Android VHAL, Android Automotive Framework, Android Automotive Services, Car API, Car Services, etc.)

Participates in the design and development of Android Automotive applications for the project

Responsible for meeting the requirements defined in the CDD, CTS, etc. documents and ensuring their implementation for individual functions in the frame

Skills

Must have

University degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science (or comparable)

6+ years of experience in Kotlin

2 to 3 years of expert knowledge in Android OS architecture and design

Expert knowledge in software architecture and design

Agile experience

Technical Leading capabilities

previous experience as technical lead for small team but at the same time has still hands on experience in development

Leadership skills

Nice to have

experience using modern C++

HW resource allocation: RAM/CPU/NVM

Practical knowledge of automotive software development processes and especially Agile software development

Knowledge with AutoSAR classic (4.2 Vector) SSD/Architect

Application level: PWR mngmnt, Vehicle communication, Diagnosis, Security
