Our studio is looking for a versatile and experienced Animator passionate about bringing exceptional entertainment to players around the globe. At Hidden Grove, we appreciate the value of partnering with other disciplines to create something special, and you will work closely with a multidisciplinary group to develop and implement gameplay animation for this highly stylized new IP in pre-production.

You are a motivated and self-aware artist who is excited to breathe life into a diverse cast of world-class characters.

Your work demonstrates your ability to create high-quality, entertaining character animation and an understanding of motion and visual design principles.

You have a functional understanding of gameplay animation systems and workflows and the ways that animation impacts a game.

You provide feedback to your team to improve tools and workflows.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Create compelling, stylized, hand-keyed character animation that evokes the personality of a cast of unique characters.

Collaborate with Designers to create evocative animation that articulates gameplay mechanics.

Provide feedback on workflows and best practices for the animation discipline.

Participate in our teamwide playtests to evaluate how your assets are playing and to give and receive notes on the experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:

A reel that displays an understanding of weight, posing, body mechanics and timing in hand-keyed animation.

A proficiency in modern animation workflows & DCC programs (such as Maya, MotionBuilder, etc.)

Shipped at least 1 game as a gameplay animator.

At least 2+ years of character animation experience.

Compensation:

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position.

The full salary range for this position is $88,000 - $128,000 per year. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. When an offer is made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar jobs pay, internal equity, and what you're looking for.

In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as a sign-on bonus and short- and long-term incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
