The Daily

  • Work with the Production team throughout the development process to help create compelling gameplay and combat systems

  • Contribute to the strategic planning and design for new gaming projects/features

  • Present design ideas, receive feedback, then adjust designs and metrics accordingly

  • Implement game content such as world authoring in Unreal, combat setups, event triggers and populating with gameplay objects

  • Work in Unreal’s blueprint tool

  • Work with other departments to implement SFX, FX, missions and other gameplay mechanics

  • Other duties may be assigned as needed, largely centered around research, playtesting or implementation tasks

The Essentials

  • A passion for gaming and game development

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent industry experience

  • Experience with Unreal development

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, production-oriented environment

  • Remain current on console games and a knowledge of game mechanics across a variety of genres and platforms

  • Ability to collaborate with a design group and across other disciplines while maintaining a positive attitude

  • Highly motivated self-starter and creative thinker with fresh ideas

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The Nice to Haves

  • Possess or are pursuing a degree in Game Design or equivalent degree in a creative field strongly preferred

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $51,433.00 - $95,519.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
