Job Description

The Associate Dialogue Editor will be responsible for editing, cleaning up, and mixing dialogue in Pro Tools for Rockstar Games. They will create audio renders, upload assets, and collaborate with colleagues. The role requires experience in audio editing, mixing, and synchronization. The candidate must be able to work independently and in a team, manage time effectively, and pay meticulous attention to detail. The role is based in the Bangalore studio.
Must have:
  • Experience with Pro Tools or similar DAW software.
  • Experience with audio cleanup and mixing plugins.
  • Detailed understanding of audio editing/mixing & video/audio sync.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
Good to have:
  • Ability to work with both macOS and Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
  • Utilization of keyboard macros to enhance productivity.

Rockstar India is on the lookout for talented Associate Dialogue Editor applicants, who possess a passion for game audio.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Rockstar’s large game development studio in Bangalore, India.

WHAT WE DO

  • The award-winning Rockstar audio team combines all audio disciplines, designing and implementing the sound, music, and dialogue technology as well as content for our games.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Edit, clean-up, and mix dialogue in Pro Tools.
  • Create audio renders for various teams.
  • Upload assets through source control.
  • Provide daily and/or weekly status
  • Collaborate with colleagues at other R* studios as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sound Engineering, Audio Production, or other relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional experience working in audio for games, film or TV production.

SKILLS

  • Experience with Pro Tools or other industry standard DAW software.
  • Experience using plugins for audio cleanup and mixing.
  • Detailed understanding of audio editing / mixing and video and audio synchronization.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, to take initiative and follow through on projects.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask, and work under shifting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success within a swift, efficient, well-structured, and disciplined team, with a proven track record of consistently performing in a high-volume, fast -turnaround environment.
  • Approaches tasks with meticulous attention to detail, showcasing loyalty and a robust work ethic.
