Job Description

Bike Mechanic – Red Barn

At Red Barn, we build refurbished bikes that inspire adventure, freedom, and the sheer joy of the ride. As a Bike Mechanic, you'll play a key role in ensuring every bike meets our high standards for speed and quality. We’re all about precision – you’ll be responsible for assembling, tuning, and adjusting bikes with flawless accuracy. You will not only have the opportunity to work on older model Trek bikes, but you will also get to build high-end road bikes, Rails, and Project One bikes. We’re looking for individuals with advanced technical skills, a passion for problem-solving, and a can-do attitude to match. This is a full-time bicycle mechanic opportunity that is not customer facing and not in a retail environment. Instead, you will be wrenching on bikes full time with some of the best mechanics in the country while helping to get more people on bikes every day!

If you are looking for opportunities for growth, you can grow within our team of service or develop enough experience to transition into one of our retail stores. One great benefit to working at the Red Barn is you are only 20 minutes from our headquarters!

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience assembling a wide range of bikes—from kids' bikes to top-of-the-line mountain, road, and e-bikes.
  • A self-starter mentality with a passion for teamwork and a positive attitude that lifts up those around you.
  • A dedication to delivering awesome hospitality—listening, caring, and always being ready to help, no matter how busy the day gets.
  • An eye for detail and a love for finding solutions—whether it’s troubleshooting or fine-tuning a bike until it's perfect.
  • A hunger to keep learning, growing your skills, and staying up to date on the latest technologies and service techniques.
  • Bike shop or bike assembly experience

Areas you'll own:

  • Completing the final assembly, tuning, and adjustment of a full spectrum of bikes.
  • Troubleshooting and updating e-bike systems and software.
  • Stepping in wherever needed to help us meet our goals and deliver outstanding service.

Your schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Compensation:

  • $20 - $30 per hour based on technical experience level.
  • Relocation package available based on location
