Tesla's Body Repair Vehicle Detailer in Auckland plays a vital role in restoring Tesla vehicles to their original condition. This position requires 3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair and involves inspecting, repairing, and servicing Tesla electric vehicles. Responsibilities include operating various tools, performing equipment inspections and adjustments, maintaining records, ordering supplies, supporting journeymen technicians, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. The ideal candidate possesses attention to detail, a willingness to learn new technologies, and strong teamwork skills. Knowledge of detailing techniques (wet sanding, polishing, buffing, waxing) and basic automotive repair is essential. The role contributes to Tesla's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and exceptional craftsmanship in the automotive repair industry.
Must have:

What You’ll Do- 3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair
- Performs entry-level work in the inspection, repair, and service of Tesla electric vehicles
- Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
- Perform equipment inspections and adjustments
- Maintain records of time and materials
- May order shop supplies and parts as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Help maintain vehicle cleanliness of customer cars
- Support journeymen technicians as needed
- Knowledge of: Methods, techniques for detailing vehicles - wet sand, polish, buff , wax, etc.
- Efficient skills in basic automotive techniques related to repair and servicing of automobiles
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new and advanced automotive technologies
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Perform detailed, daily record keeping and reporting
- Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
- Work in a team-based environment and achieve common goals
- Retail automotive service experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license
