Job Description

Tesla's Body Repair Vehicle Detailer position in Oakleigh, Australia, requires 3+ years of automotive collision repair experience. Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and servicing Tesla electric vehicles, using hand and power tools, maintaining records, ordering supplies, and detailing vehicles (wet sanding, polishing, buffing, waxing). The role involves supporting journeymen technicians and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. A willingness to learn advanced automotive technologies, attention to detail, and effective teamwork are essential. The planned opening is in Q3 2024. This position is a full-time role with various benefits.

What You’ll Do

3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair
Performs entry-level work in the inspection, repair, and service of Tesla electric vehicles
Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
Perform equipment inspections and adjustments
Maintain records of time and materials
May order shop supplies and parts as required
Perform other related duties as assigned
Help maintain vehicle cleanliness of customer cars
Support journeymen technicians as needed
Knowledge of: Methods, techniques for detailing vehicles - wet sand, polish, buff , wax, etc.
Efficient skills in basic automotive techniques related to repair and servicing of automobiles

What You’ll Bring

Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail
Willingness to learn new and advanced automotive technologies
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Perform detailed, daily record keeping and reporting
Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
Work in a team-based environment and achieve common goals
Retail automotive service experience is a plus
Valid driver’s license
