Job Description
Tesla's Body Repair Program seeks a Vehicle Detailer in Perth, Australia. Responsibilities include performing entry-level inspection, repair, and service of Tesla EVs using advanced tools and eco-friendly processes. This involves operating hand and power tools, maintaining records, ordering supplies, supporting journeymen technicians, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Candidates must have 3+ years of automotive collision repair experience, detailing skills (wet sanding, polishing, buffing, waxing), and knowledge of basic automotive repair techniques. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to handle multiple priorities. Planned opening is Q3 2024.

What You’ll DoPlanned opening in Q3, 2024.
- 3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair
- Performs entry-level work in the inspection, repair, and service of Tesla electric vehicles
- Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
- Perform equipment inspections and adjustments
- Maintain records of time and materials
- May order shop supplies and parts as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Help maintain vehicle cleanliness of customer cars
- Support journeymen technicians as needed
- Knowledge of: Methods, techniques for detailing vehicles - wet sand, polish, buff , wax, etc.
- Efficient skills in basic automotive techniques related to repair and servicing of automobiles
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new and advanced automotive technologies
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Perform detailed, daily record keeping and reporting
- Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
- Work in a team-based environment and achieve common goals
- Retail automotive service experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license
