JOB OVERVIEW
Plan A Technologies is looking for a detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our fast-growing healthcare startup. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, organizing, and maintaining business documentation across various areas of the organization. Your work will support operations, compliance, and strategic initiatives, with a particular focus on data privacy and GDPR compliance. This is an exciting job with room for significant career growth.
Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst to be considered for this role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
Work closely with stakeholders across departments to understand processes and capture business requirements.
Create and maintain clear, concise documentation including process flows, SOPs, business requirements documents (BRDs), user guides, and data policies.
Ensure all documentation aligns with GDPR and data privacy regulations.
Collaborate with legal, compliance, product, and tech teams to support data privacy initiatives.
Identify gaps in documentation and propose improvements to support scalability and compliance.
Translate complex technical or legal concepts into easy-to-understand materials for business users.
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in a cross-functional environment.
Proven experience gathering and analyzing business requirements, and translating them into clear documentation (e.g., BRDs, user stories, functional specs).
Strong skills in creating process maps, workflow diagrams, and SOPs using tools like Lucidchart, Visio, or similar.
Experience facilitating discovery sessions, interviews, or workshops with stakeholders to elicit and validate requirements.
Ability to manage and prioritize a backlog of documentation or improvement requests.
Familiarity with agile and waterfall methodologies and working with product/tech teams in iterative delivery environments.
Strong understanding of GDPR, data privacy, and security best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to tailor messaging to technical and non-technical audiences.
High attention to detail and strong critical thinking/problem-solving abilities.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup or scaling environment, with shifting priorities and evolving needs.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Initiative and drive to do great things.
