Job Description

PayPay is a fintech company with over 70 million users, aiming to create an unlimited future. This role is for a CRM Strategy Operation / Project Manager within the Product Marketing Department's CRM Promotion Team. The mission is to maximize PayPay's business by defining core values and delivering them to users. The role involves planning, managing, operating, and evaluating CRM measures, focusing on deepening relationships with existing users and expanding to new segments, moving beyond campaign-dependent growth. This includes managing loyalty programs like 'PayPay Step' and 'Friend Referral Benefits', planning new initiatives, and improving UI/UX, all while leveraging data and user insights.
Good To Have:
  • Business level English proficiency (TOEIC 700 or higher)

About the Role

Introduction to the Marketing Planning Division

The mission is to define PayPay's core values and deliver them to users (general consumers/merchants) through appropriate methods and media, thereby maximizing PayPay's business. It is comprised of members with a strong passion for FinTech business and marketing operations.

Introduction to the CRM Promotion Team, Product Marketing Department (where this position is assigned)

The CRM Promotion Team works to build a strong user base and expand to new user segments by communicating the multifaceted appeal of the PayPay app, such as its convenience, innovativeness, and excellent UI/UX.

Composed mainly of members with experience in large-scale campaigns and mass promotions, the team is responsible for a wide range of areas, including loyalty programs like "PayPay Step," expanding "Friend Referral Benefits," planning new initiatives, and improving UI/UX. They pursue enhancing user experience from multiple perspectives.

By being involved in all processes from planning and consideration to progress management, operation, and effectiveness verification, the team executes high-quality CRM measures based on data and user insights.

Specific Job Responsibilities

  • Operation and improvement of existing measures
  • Coordination with businesses and overall project progress management for revisions to "PayPay Step."
  • Issue analysis, negotiation with development departments and related businesses, and operation design for the expansion of "Friend Referral Benefits."
  • Confirmation of impact on existing measures, revision of terms and conditions, and operational response for inter-business settlements when new services are launched.
  • Planning and promotion of new measures
  • Planning and proposing new loyalty programs and user base expansion measures.
  • Overall project management and coordination with relevant departments for the realization of measures.
  • AI Promotion
  • Promoting operational efficiency and sophistication within departmental operations by utilizing generative AI such as ChatGPT.

  • Planning and proposing measures, budget formulation, KPI design, schedule management.
  • Explaining plans and gaining consensus from various internal departments and executives.
  • Scrutinizing plan content based on relevant laws such as the Premiums and Representations Act.
  • Direction of owned media and external advertising media, creative supervision.
  • Press release, preparation for measure announcement.
  • Cost forecasting, progress management, performance analysis after the measure ends.
  • Troubleshooting during measure implementation.

All tasks are promoted through coordination with various internal stakeholders such as legal, CS, and development, and discussions with management.   • Super flex-time system (no core time)
  • Principle: 9:00 AM - 5:45 PM (7 hours 45 minutes of actual work + 1 hour break)
