Project description

Cloud Migration and Modernization Program focuses on establishing a shared services capability that provides the necessary architectural governance for workloads being migrated to the cloud. This initiative aims to ensure that the migration processes adhere to best practices and efficient cloud architectures across various platforms.

The primary objective of this initiative is to enhance architectural governance during the migration of workloads to cloud environments. The initiative seeks to maintain a high standard of cloud architecture, ensuring effectiveness and compliance as organizations transition their operations to the cloud.

Program is seeking an experienced, lead level, cloud developer and solution architect with the ability to evaluate, estimate, design, implement and document cloud centric application architectures and deployment methodologies, and generally contribute to cloud enablement and cost optimization efforts while promoting cloud architecture and DevOps best-practices.

Responsibilities

Cloud-Native Architecture Design: Design migration strategies to adapt existing applications for GCP using native services such as Secret Manager, Cloud SQL, or Cloud Identity.

Cloud Requirements Analysis: Identify and plan changes driven by cloud requirements (e.g., re-authentication with OAuth2, refactoring for managed services).

Data and Application Migration: Lead migrations with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity.

DevOps Team Leadership: Oversee DevOps tasks like configuring cloud resources and ensuring smooth CI/CD integration.

Customer Architectural Discussions: Communicate migration strategies and cloud-native adaptations with stakeholders, addressing concerns and clarifying requirements.

Driving Communications Between Expertise: Act as the central point for discussions between teams to resolve technical challenges specific to the cloud migration.
