Job Summary

As an engineering intern in Roads & Traffic, Northwest, you will join an engaged team working on various road and infrastructure projects, from local improvements to major construction and urban development. You will participate in planning, design, and follow-up, gaining insight into project implementation processes. The role involves working with climate adaptation, urban spaces, parks, development, intersection reconstructions, motorways, and more, in a collaborative environment across offices in Aalborg, Viborg, and Herning.

Must Have

  • Studying for a diploma in engineering with a specialization in road and traffic
  • Interest in design, infrastructure, and practical problem-solving
  • Works structured and thrives in collaboration with others
  • Curious, responsible, and motivated to learn new things
  • Communicates fluently in Danish – both orally and in writing
  • Design of road and civil engineering projects in CAD (MicroStation/OpenRoads)
  • Preparation of drawings, quantity surveys, and tender documents
  • Assisting in planning and possibly supervision of construction projects
  • Participating in interdisciplinary collaborations

Engineering Intern for Road & Traffic

Your new role

As our new engineering intern, you will become part of an engaged team that works with everything from minor local road improvements to larger construction and urban development projects. You will have the opportunity to participate in planning, design, and follow-up on projects – and you will gain insight into the many processes behind the implementation of road and traffic projects. You will be part of a department with offices in Aalborg, Viborg, and Herning, where collaboration, sparring, and good humor are a natural part of everyday life. Currently, we are working with climate adaptation, urban spaces and parks, building developments, intersection reconstructions, motorways, wind turbine test centers, landfills, resource centers, etc. We value an informal tone, and our varied tasks are solved through open dialogue with a focus on both professional and personal development.

Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Design of road and civil engineering projects in CAD (MicroStation/OpenRoads)
  • Preparation of drawings, quantity surveys, and tender documents
  • Assisting in planning and possibly supervision of construction projects
  • Participating in interdisciplinary collaborations with colleagues in e.g. geotechnics, drainage, and landscape
