We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic IT Manager to join a highly motivated team.

As part of the job, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our technology systems and infrastructure. You will lead a team of IT professionals, manage projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the technology needs of our game development, publishing, and operational teams.

Role and Responsibilities

As IT Manager at Stormind Games, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services, version control systems (GIT, Perforce and so on).
  • Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's success and development.
  • Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect company data and systems, VPN maintenance. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, negotiate contracts, and evaluate technology solutions to meet the company's needs.
  • Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, hardware and software deployments, and infrastructure enhancements. Develop project plans, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to employees, addressing hardware and software issues promptly.
  • Prepare and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring cost-effective technology solutions and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of IT disruptions.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technology trends and assess their potential impact on the company's operations and competitiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and IT policies and procedures for reference and compliance purposes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA, Cisco) are a plus.
  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar leadership role, preferably within the gaming industry.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services.
  • Proficiency in security protocols, data protection, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and creative environment.

Plus

  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine 4 and/or 5.
  • Proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming.
  • Good foundation of 3D math concepts, algorithms, data structures and software design.
  • Knowledge of one or more command (CLI) languages (Batch, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (Python, Groovy, Go).
